Walk Geography

The Walk : From Lulworth Cove, this walk is a blend of Range Walks, coastal path and finally the airy Purbeck Ridge to Corfe Castle. The walk is only possible when the MOD Lulworth Ranges are open to the public. There is an optional excursion down to the abandoned village of Tyneham. Purbeck Ridge Part 2: Corfe Castle to Old Harry Rocks (11.5 miles)

The Walk : From Corfe Castle, this walk continues along the airy eastern half of the Purbeck Ridge to its ending in the sea stacks of Old Harry Rocks. The walk is a delight, walking on open grass downland with views over Corfe Castle, the blue lagoon of Poole harbour, the green valley leading to the traditional unspoilt seaside resort of Swanage and the chalk cliffs of Ballard Down. Steam trains chuffing along the valley could deceive you into thinking you have passed through a time warp into a simpler world of 1950s Britain. Ridgeway (East): Princes Risborough to Wendover (8.5 miles)

The Walk : This third leg of the Ridgeway East of the Thames starts where Leg 2 finished at Princes Risborough (PR) Station, and follows the Ridgeway to Wendover Station, including several fine viewpoints en route. Coombe Hill
